BIM Coordinator

As a BIM Coordinator at PALLAS, you will work alongside a BIM Manager and another BIM Coordinator to ensure the quality of design and engineering models integrated into our Common Data Environment (CDE). With your experience as a BIM coordinator or modeller, you understand the importance of close collaboration with your team, the engineering department, and contractors' BIM coordinators. Your daily tasks will include overseeing BIM processes, conducting clash and usability checks, and using tools such as Solibri and BIMcollab. Additionally, you will provide support to the engineering department in utilizing these tools effectively.

This role stands out due to the complexity of a €2 billion nuclear project, our innovative “Cobouw-nominated CDE/Car Wash for Data” process, and the occasional business trips to Argentina, where one of our engineering partners is located.

Our Team

More than 120 passionate colleagues from over 20 countries are working at our office in Alkmaar on the realization of the PALLAS reactor. Construction of the reactor at the Energy & Health Campus in Petten will start in early 2025.

With the arrival of this multifunctional, state-of-the-art reactor, we ensure that for the next 50 years, we can continue to help 30,000 people a day with the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. Additionally, by carrying out various nuclear technological research programs, the PALLAS reactor will contribute to the development of a CO2-free energy supply.

PALLAS works with a Common Data Environment combined with a unique ‘Car Wash for Data,’ ensuring that engineering data streams from various sources are cleaned and translated into uniform codes. This approach optimizes the information process during the construction phase and will enable a Digital Twin to be used throughout the entire lifecycle for asset and maintenance management purposes. Our CDE is ISO19650-based, uses Weaver as a graph database, and we’re proud to mention that the “Car Wash for Data” was nominated for a Cobouw Award.

Our BIM team is growing, and we are now looking for a BIM Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and approve contractor commissioning documentation on behalf of PALLAS;
• Follow the PALLAS Building Information Management process and contribute to project-specific plans and procedures;
• Integrate contractor models into usable federated models;
• Assist in generating reports and measurements required by the project team and stakeholders.

Your Profile

You are an experienced BIM modeller or coordinator seeking an opportunity to apply your expertise to one of the most significant and complex projects in the Netherlands. The scale and intricacy of the PALLAS project require not only technical skills but also strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Requirements:

• A relevant Bachelor’s degree or higher;
• At least 5 years of experience in BIM modelling;
• Proficiency in Solibri Office;
• Fluent in English (spoken and written);
• Currently residing in or willing to relocate to the Alkmaar region.
