Senior Consultant Decommissioning
In this role, you contribute to the reliable deployment of nuclear technology and the responsible handling of the waste it produces. It is important to predict the behavior of nuclides and materials under various conditions. This involves, among other things, using thermodynamic models developed within NRG.
Profile
- Completed technical or natural science university education, for example in chemistry, environmental sciences, process technology, or technical physics;
- You are analytical;
- Experience with modeling chemical and transport processes (preferred);
- You are result-oriented and intrinsically motivated to learn throughout the projects;
- Aptitude for advising; good communication skills both verbally and in writing, and social skills.
Team
You will work within the Decommissioning, Waste Management & Disposal (DWD) team. Our experts have different backgrounds but share one thing in common; we work together on safe and reliable solutions for radioactive waste streams and the dismantling of nuclear facilities. The issues within the team are diverse; ranging from research on the stability of waste packaging, developing new methods for waste separation and characterization, to drafting dismantling plans or cost estimates for dismantling. We offer complex and varied tasks with plenty of opportunities for advancement. Collaborating with colleagues is natural for us; our door/TEAMS is always open.
