Radiation Protection Instructor
As a Radiation Protection Instructor based in Petten, you will train supervisory radiation protection officers and radiation protection experts. You will teach employees who work with radiation applications and provide information to a wide range of audiences, from high school students to politicians.
The training participants work in hospitals, oil and gas companies, the nuclear industry, and government agencies. The educational level of the participants ranges from pre-vocational secondary education (VMBO) to university level (WO+). We provide training at our own location and at the locations of our clients.
In addition to teaching, you will contribute to the development of teaching materials and methods and help shape the educational programs.
Additionally, you can broaden your range of duties with tasks such as radiation monitoring work, serving as a coordinating expert for various organizations, providing independent advice, or drafting and reviewing policies. A combination of tasks allows you to effectively apply your practical experience in teaching.
Each instructor in the team has a different combination of tasks, tailored to their background, experience, competencies, and interests. This makes our team highly versatile, multi-faceted, and interesting.
Profile:
- Higher professional education (HBO) level of working and thinking, with a science orientation.
- Experience as a supervisory radiation protection officer or radiation protection expert.
- Possession of the radiation protection expert diploma at the coordinating expert level (formerly level 3) or the willingness to obtain it.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A true team player who enjoys collaborating with others.
- Customer-oriented, positive, and solution-focused.
- Experience as a first or second-degree teacher in one or more science subjects is a plus.
